Privacy Policy
Version 1.1 | 11 October 2026
1 About this policy
ME ON SET is a free information website about films and filming locations. We do not sell products, charge for access, or process online bookings or card payments through the website
BG Vision d.o.o., Matuljska cesta 19D, 51211 Matulji, Croatia, Croatian personal identification number (OIB) 94381977424, is the controller responsible for personal data processing. For questions or to exercise your rights, email brunogrgurich@gmail.com or write to this postal address. Telephone: +385 91 222 9401.
2 Data we process
Opening the website involves processing your IP address and technical information needed to display it, such as the requested URL and browser and device information. Some of this information may be logged for security and troubleshooting.
If you contact us, we process your name, contact details, message and any attachments you send. Please provide only information needed to answer your enquiry, avoiding unnecessary identity documents or sensitive information. Without contact details, we may be unable to respond.
Scanning a QR code opens a content link. The code itself does not give us access to your photographs, contacts or precise GPS location. The link may identify the information point you selected, but does not by itself establish that you physically visited the location.
3 Why we use data
We process data needed to operate and secure the website on the basis of our legitimate interest in making content available and protecting the system. We also rely on legitimate interest to answer general enquiries and communicate with representatives of business partners. If you act as an individual requesting a quotation or contract, we process necessary data to take steps at your request or perform that contract.
We rely on legal obligations when handling data protection requests and other statutory duties. We may process information needed to establish, exercise or defend legal claims on the basis of legitimate interest. Where consent is required, we request it separately. Browsing the website or sending an enquiry does not subscribe you to a newsletter or authorise marketing tracking.
Film stories and interviews may include names, professional roles, photographs and other information about production participants. Necessary and proportionate editorial publication may rely on our legitimate interest in providing information about film and screen heritage, after assessing the person's rights; where consent is required, we obtain it. Permission to use a photograph and the legal basis for processing personal data are separate matters.
We obtain information from you, contributors, partners and relevant public sources, such as film credits and official production releases. For indirectly obtained data, we provide the required information within one month, or at the first earlier communication or disclosure, unless a statutory exception applies.
4 Who may access data
Data is accessible to authorised BG Vision personnel and, as necessary for their role, providers of hosting, content delivery, email and technical support. Processors act on our instructions and under contractual obligations. We may disclose data to competent authorities where legally required.
Tourist boards and other partners do not receive visitor data merely because they appear on the website. Forwarding a particular enquiry requires an appropriate legal basis. Published stories and data are accessible to internet users and search engines.
Where an external provider's processing involves a transfer outside the European Economic Area, the transfer must have safeguards required by the GDPR, such as an applicable adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses with any necessary supplementary measures. You may request information about applicable transfers and a copy of safeguards through our contact address.
5 Retention and security
Retention depends on the purpose: technical logs are retained according to security and troubleshooting needs, and enquiries for the time needed to reply and complete related actions. Longer retention is limited to information needed for a legal obligation, evidence of an agreement or a legal claim, taking account of applicable statutory and limitation periods. Written consumer complaint records are kept for one year after receipt, and longer only on another valid basis.
We retain editorial publications while they have justified informational and archival value, considering requests from the people concerned. When there is no longer a justified need to retain data, we delete or anonymise it. We restrict access and apply technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk.
6 Your rights
Subject to the GDPR's conditions, you may request access and a copy, correction, erasure, restriction of processing, and portability where processing is automated and based on consent or a contract. You may object to processing based on legitimate interest on grounds relating to your situation, and to direct marketing at any time. You may withdraw consent as easily as it was given; this does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing.
Send requests to brunogrgurich@gmail.com. We respond without undue delay and within one month. If complexity or the number of requests requires an extension of up to two further months, we explain the reasons within the first month. Exercising rights is normally free; individual rights may be subject to statutory limits.
You may complain to the Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency at www.azop.hr or azop@azop.hr, or to another competent supervisory authority. You do not need to wait for our reply first.
